Track Overview
Silicone City Speedway is a petite Paperclip style track located in San Jose, CA. Owned by Mike Andrews, aka “Kiwi Mike,” the track features a variable power supply (which is consistently around 10v for race days), an ultra-smooth surface that’s never been glued, and fairly consistent radius corners.
Racing
As one of the staple 1/32 tracks in the greater Bay Area, Silicone Speedway is simple, but challenging, and produces some of the closest racing around. Kiwi Mike runs a variety of cars, from Pioneer Legends to Modern LMP and everything in between. If you’d like to know what classes and rules, you can review them in our rules section under Silicone City Speedway.
Mike’s raceway is often open for practice days so it’s great to get on his list and know when the practice sessions are. In addition to this, Mike graciously hosts races once a month and often BBQs – making it a great time regardless of if you win or come in second – which is the same as last place according to Mike.
